Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Spatial9.
Frequently asked questions
What is Spatial9?
Spatial9 is an AI-powered platform that transforms stereo audio into professional-quality immersive spatial audio for streaming platforms like Apple Music, YouTube, Amazon Music, and Tidal.
How long does processing take?
Processing time varies based on file length and complexity. Typically, a 3-minute song takes 2-5 minutes to process. You'll receive an email notification when your file is ready.
What formats are supported?
We support WAV, MP3, FLAC, and AIFF for input. Exports include ADM BWF (for Apple Music, Amazon, Tidal), Eclipsa Audio (for YouTube), and standard stereo formats.
What quality should my input files be?
For best results, we recommend 24-bit WAV files at 48kHz or higher. We accept files up to 96kHz sample rate.
Which platforms support spatial audio?
Apple Music (Immersive Mix ADM), YouTube (Eclipsa Audio IAMF), Amazon Music (360 Reality Audio), Tidal (Immersive Mix ADM), and many VR/AR platforms.
Do you have an API?
Yes! Our REST API allows you to integrate spatial audio processing into your applications. Contact us for API access and documentation.
What's included in Enterprise?
Enterprise plans include custom processing volumes, dedicated support, white-label options, custom training on your catalog, and SLA guarantees.
Do I need to provide stems?
No! For Eclipsa Audio (YouTube), we process stereo files directly. For ADM BWF, stems provide better results but aren't required.
Can I start with a finished song or video?
Yes. Bring a completed stereo song or a finished video and Spatial9 produces an immersive version from it. Original stems help but are not required.
Do I need stems or audio engineering experience?
No. If you have stems you can supply them, but Spatial9 can separate an existing mix. You do not need to operate a mixer or position sources yourself.
What files will I receive?
Supported deliverables depend on your plan and include immersive export formats such as ADM, Eclipsa Audio, binaural, and Ambisonics. See the pricing page for exact formats per plan.
How do Music and Video workflows differ?
Music is available now. Video production is in early access—you can request an invite and we will bring you on as it opens up.
Can I automate a catalog or integrate Spatial9?
Yes. Teams can submit in batches, track job status, and integrate through our API and webhooks. Talk to us about production at scale.
What is included in the free ADM-to-Eclipsa converter?
You can convert an ADM master (WAV or BWF, up to 4 GB) to Eclipsa Audio at no cost and with no watermark. A free account is required.
